About me

There’s something deeply fulfilling about creating something with my own hands. Seeing an idea I envisioned come to life gives me a great sense of joy.

Growing up in a warm, loving, and big family, I was lucky to have the freedom to explore what truly makes me happy. There was plenty of time to dream, get bored, create, fail, and succeed. Making things by hand, whether it was jewelry, crepe paper flowers, or painting, has always been one of my favorite ways to spend time.

For me, making art is both a way to slow down and a way to express my creative thoughts. I easily lose track of time and my surroundings when I’m creating. Ideas often appear at the most unexpected moments during the day, something you cannot really plan or search for. But I know for sure that being outdoors, discovering new places, spending time in nature, and meeting new people inspire me deeply.

The process of creating feels a bit like a long meditation practice. In the early stages, I first need to slow down from a busy life filled with some chaos. Then comes distraction, and sometimes frustration. But as the work evolves, it gradually moves toward a more natural, balanced state. When I start to feel like I’m going to miss the artwork, I know it’s ready.

My energy instantly rises whenever I discover a new idea or come across beautiful colors, textiles, or patterns. Morocco, for example, felt like a true paradise to me. Natural colors, textures, abstract shapes, and the beauty of asymmetry are things I feel especially drawn to.

After living in Amsterdam and Haarlem for almost 20 years, it felt like the right time for a new chapter. I moved abroad to Copenhagen with my partner and two kids, a dream I had carried with me for a long time. This new place inspires me deeply, especially the forests, the colors of the buildings, the fresh air, the way people dress, and the beautiful parks.

Creating art simply makes me happy.
